My name is Eric, and I started my journey as a general contractor in 1989 at just 19 years old. I began playing in the dirt landscaping, building complex, high-end outdoor living spaces. Those early projects — often $150,000 to $350,000 — were intricate, challenging, and incredibly rewarding.
Those projects taught me the true value of teamwork, but more importantly, communication — the kind of clear, consistent, and honest communication that leads to real happiness with the entire building process.
When my clients began trusting me with something even more important — their homes — I expanded into full home construction. Over the past 35+ years, my focus has narrowed to what I love most: crafting high-quality single-family homes and thoughtfully designed ADUs/DADUs right here in the Greater Seattle area.
It isn't concrete. It's trust.
What I've learned above all is that the most important foundation isn't concrete — it's trust built through complete honesty and clarity.
I've seen too many projects go wrong because of poor communication: hidden costs, missed details, and unnecessary stress for homeowners. That's why we do things very differently at DIGS.
